Paul prepares and prosecutes US patent applications for clients in the medical device, pharmaceutical, chemical, industrial processing, agricultural, and life science areas. In addition, he assists clients in developing their international patent portfolios. Paul also provides due-diligence services, including patentability and clearance analysis, and assists in opinion work and litigation matters.
Paul has been with Kagan Binder since 2002. Prior to joining Kagan Binder, Paul was a patent agent at the law firm of Merchant & Gould. Before working in the intellectual property field, Paul acquired over 10 years of biochemical research experience, obtaining a doctoral degree in molecular genetics and holding a post-doctoral research fellowship in immunology. Paul has co-authored a number of research articles that have appeared in internationally recognized journals.
