Elizabeth is a Ph.D. chemist and registered patent agent, drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the chemical and mechanical arts for large corporate clients as well as boutique firms. Elizabeth has performed patent-related work in the areas of printing, publishing, graphics media and inks, security systems, inventory tracking, oil and mineral recovery solutions, adhesives, polymer films, and packaging media and machines.
Prior to joining Kagan Binder, Elizabeth was a patent agent at Dorsey & Whitney LLP. Formerly, Elizabeth worked for a Fortune 500 company for 16 years in research, product development, as commercialization team leader, and then as Patent Liaison, when Elizabeth gained experience in drafting and prosecuting patents, organizing opposition proceedings, patent landscape mapping, and patent portfolio management. At the University of Minnesota, Elizabeth designed ab initio and taught a course in science and technology in Ancient Greece and Rome, as well as courses on the Ancient Greek and Latin languages. Elizabeth holds seven US patents.
