Paul applies his extensive scientific and technological experiences within the abrasive products industry and polymer fiber industry to procure intellectual property rights for complex chemical and polymer technologies. Paul drafts and prosecutes United States and foreign patent applications, and prepares legal opinions relating to the validity, enforceability, or infringement of United States patents.

Before joining Kagan Binder as an associate attorney, Paul worked as a law clerk at the firm and previous to that as an engineer at 3M. While working in the Office of Intellectual Property Counsel at 3M, Paul obtained extensive experience with respect to preparing patent applications in the abrasive products industry. Before that, Paul was a chemical engineer with 3M, Occupational Health and Environmental Safety Division, a supplier of respirators and thermal/acoustical insulation to consumers and businesses. As an engineer, Paul managed the installation of manufacturing lines, which involved specifying, commissioning, and developing polymer fiber processing equipment and methods.
